Enviromental Protection and Management

Programme description

The Environmental Protection and Management studies are addressed to English-speaking students who seek specialist education in contemporary environmental conservation and natural resource management. Our experienced staff and external high-class experts, possessing well-entrenched scientific achievements, impart deepened and always updated knowledge with focus on team work plus planning and conducting valorisation or monitoring works. The interdisciplinary study programme provides a large number of practical activities in well equipped, modern laboratories as well as during field classes.

Graduate’s profile

The programme’s participant acquires a profound understanding of contemporary determinants and challenges to environmental conservation and understands legal complexity and principles of management of the commons. Graduate can plan and execute actions towards effective monitoring, protection and sustainable use of natural resources. They recognises current threats to environment and can indicate preventive and repair actions. Our fellow obtains social and mediation expertise in order to successfully apply such competences in real world environmental management. Graduate are able to raise funding and apply for grants. Accomplishment of studies allows employment either in public or private sectors worldwide: administration of protected areas, environmental agencies, various research units likewise non-governmental organisations and private enterprises.

Qualification rules

The ranking list reflects the applicants’ final qualification results calculated on the basis of interview which objective is to verify candidate's motivation for undertaking the programme of study, her or his general knowledge of the field of ecology, and proficiency in the English language.

Fees

Application fee

The application fee is 22 USD (or 85 PLN, or 20 EUR). The fee is paid separately for each registration and each registration has its own bank account number assigned for the payment.

Tuition fee:

  • tuition for the first year: 14 000 PLN (approx. 3 700 USD)
  • tuition for the second year: 14 000 PLN (approx. 3 700 USD)
