MD program in English

Programme description

The 6-year MD Programme is taught exclusively in English. The programme is in compliance with European teaching standards. Candidates for this programme should be graduating from secondary school and excel in biology and chemistry. During six academic years pre-clinical and clinical courses are taught. The first part of the curriculum covers basic science courses. Students also have a medical Polish course to prepare them to communicate with patients. The second part of the curriculum covers clinical courses. On completion of the sixth year students are familiar with all clinical specialties.

Graduate’s profile

Graduates receive a doctor (MD) degree recognized internationally and are eligible to apply to postgraduate training in their home countries. Most of our graduates work and continue training in Norway, Canada, UK and the US.

Qualification rules

To be eligible for admission to this programme, candidates are required to be holders of:

  1. Document confirming knowledge of English language on the B2 level required for undertaking studies, provided that secondary education was conducted in language other than English. CEFR B2 level must be confirmed by the following certificates: IELTS—at least 6.5 points; TOEFL iBT—at least 87 points and at least 3.5 points from the TWE essay; TOEFL PBT—at least 510 point from the test part (for computer-based test at least 180 points) or equivalent.

    Candidates from Scandinavia present their high school diploma grades. Minimum grades for candidates from Scandinavia:

    • Norway—4
    • Sweden—C (VG)
    • Denmark—7

    If a Scandinavian candidate does not hold a required grade in English, they are required to present one of the documents indicated above, confirming required English command.

  2. High school-leaving examination certificate or diploma of secondary education, which entitles its holder to be considered for admission to medical or dental (MD or DDS) programs in the country or state it was obtained in.

  3. Chemistry, and Biology or Physics courses completed during secondary and/or supplementary education and confirmed by a certificate including grades, or by entry in diploma of secondary education.

Candidates are placed on the ranking list in order determined by the number ranging from 0 to 100, equal to candidates’ results from written entrance examination in Reasoning and Critical Thinking in Pre-medical Sciences..

Fees

Application fee

The application fee is 26 USD (or 100 PLN, or 23 EUR). The fee is paid separately for each registration and each registration has its own bank account number assigned for the payment.

Tuition fee:

  • tuition for the first year: 14 000 EUR (approx. 16 000 USD)
  • tuition for the second year: 14 000 EUR (approx. 16 000 USD)
  • tuition for the third year: 14 000 EUR (approx. 16 000 USD)
  • tuition for the fourth year: 14 000 EUR (approx. 16 000 USD)
  • tuition for the fifth year: 14 000 EUR (approx. 16 000 USD)
  • tuition for the sixth year: 14 000 EUR (approx. 16 000 USD)
